Turnaround Mentoring Program
Turnaround focuses on students that are at-risk of being expelled from school and who are headed down the wrong path. The goal of the program is to rekindle the youth's commitment to learning and being successful in the classroom and community. By empowering young people to finish school, mentors are improving the student's success in the work world as adults. This program also is geared toward mentoring adults that may need guidance and support to being linked with resources to help them redirect their lives to being more productive and successful.

Youth who are overcoming stressors in their lives, such as poverty, discrimination, abusive situations, addictions, unstable homes, and academic life are the primary marketing focus of the M.A.Y.A. Foundation.

Housing Program
M.A.Y.A. Foundation, Inc. is in partnership with Youth Excel and Advancement. LLC to help the community by linking families to resources to find housing and furniture. The goal is to help the families find somewhere stable to live and be able to maintain financial stability to stay in the property. We are able to link families to resources that can help with rental assistance and utility bill assistance when needed if available. The homeless population has increased tremendously since the pandemic. Majority of our work in the community has been geared towards helping the homeless over the past 2 years.
Feeding the Community
Making sure no one is hungry is very important to our organization. By linking families with organizations for food, we make sure that families are getting healthy meals. We deliver food in the community every other Tuesday with our community partner, Reaching Beyond the Walls RVA.
